During this year I have learn't a lot of things like fractions and reading. I thank all the teachers and assistants for doing all of this. Next year I will be in Megan Judds class, the new teacher, I hope she will be very nice (I think she is.) Hi this is my writing week 8 part 2.

grinning with pure enjoyment the two cheeky kids laughed and never seemed to stop saying in high pitched voices "wow there's a house " and wow that's what the museum looks like from all the way up here. Then something horrible happened the boy on the left (who was called Jeremy ) started to fall! Then the other boy laughed and said "good joke but I know you are tied" Jeremy laughed dangling procerisly on the edge then the plane started to slow down and they realised we are landing.

Slowly the Delicate ocean started to turn into hard sand and the colourful fish darting in and out of the sea turned into dead branches. Changing quickly the sky turned a shade of black. Sighing the old man attempted to jump out of the rickety old boat but instead landed on his face then something alarming happened. He started to sink his body began to disappear under the sand and he started to shout in a  attempt to escape the dangerous quick sand before it swallowed him whole.

Hi this is my writing week six that I have been working on for a while. The reason I haven't put this up yet is  that I forgot to.

A horrible crunching sound exploded from the deck wood started fly around the shattered old ship. Slowly the mast strarted to collaspe then it tumbled onto  the wavy sea. Looking up at the shadowy sky a saw a jagged line of electricity forking across the dark sky it felt like The Earth began to shatter then waves started to fall onto the cabins as the people shivvering there screamed. Staggering out of the soaked cabins the people saw a even worse sight waves were subsiding over the deck and wood and people started to fly over into the raging sea. Deckchairs were thrown into to try and save everyone being thrown about “it was like a fair ground ride they” said after  but then the added “but the kinds that people never go on unless they were dared to. Then one last wave came capsided into the ocean.

Hi this is my writing week seven that I have been working on for a while. Have you done something like this? My tip for this is just keep on writing and don't stop.

Staring down at that one surviving bewitching flower in my grubby hands I sighed and got up from my creaky old bench and hobbled off down the paved brick roads. Gleaming in my hands I couldn't help glancing down and drowning in it's heavenly glow.

 Plodding down a dark allay way I tucked my elegant flower into my grimy breast pocket and kept on going until I come to my destination a man covered in so much makeup it was hard to tell if he was even handsome stepped out from the comforting glow of the street lamp and into the murky darkness and then he said in a hoarse voice "well you've come at last I have been waiting for to long time I'm considering taking back my ever so wonderful offer." 

 Shock ran through me. I blurted out "no please I will do it "all right then but this is what you need to do. Walking back down the street the man called after me and "and don't come back without the object" I called back and said "fine" and headed to the museum.

Hi. On Saturday we all went to the cultural festival which was so much fun because I was in Kapa Haka which meant we were performing first. There was so many people at the cultural festival that it was hard to move around and there was so many stalls but there was still huge lines for them. I could smell icecream and baked goods. A deafening sound echoed through the hallways it said “you can’t get me now Winston you will never be able to get the winning Hitler” people started to scream. I staggered  into a room I looked around flames were engulfing it and lonely light was shining onto the dangerous flames. Pushing down a chair onto the flames I ran across it then when there was a moments silence I heard a ticking sound it was coming from the left side of the room. struggling over under a burning table was a stick of dynamite I yelled in shock then a man opened the door he steeped inside his black shoes clacked along the bare floor boards and he said in a greedy voice “well well well what do we have here” it was Hitler a smug look on his face suggested that he was the one that had set fire to the head quarters then without warning he grabbed a rope and threw it around me he knotted so tight it seemed to dig into my skin then he bundled me over his shoulder and set off out of the collapsing door.

my writing about a turtle

we were writing a story about a turtle breaking out of its shell this is my favorite line As I pushed and attacked the thin white walls that surrounded me when my head popped out and I saw the line of sand curving around a raging blue sea . here are some pictures.

As the withered and curious rock sat  unmoving on the soft grainy sand the raging indigo sea continued getting closer as the tide drew nearer. The rock was so circular it was like the planets in our solar system. As the got closer I realized it was so big I could it looked like I could fit 100 suns in it.

As I walked calmly along the beach in Winter an astonishing sight met my eye’s a boulder that looked like it was fit for a giant was standing in front of me I was so surprised I just stood there fit for a giant then in my excitement which I would regret I grabbed a rock and tried to smash it open then I found a lever embedded in the rock without thinking I pulled on it and the rock opened to my surprise dozens of people came running out and I looked again and there was a man dressed in a sheet I thought he was wearing a toga then I reasoned with myself that was impossible the over 1,000 years ago so I yelled at the top of my lungs STOP and guess what they kept on running then I shouted again and this time they stopped at last then I asked what are you doing here… they didn’t seem to understand then a made how looked a bit like queen Elizabeth the first said well what do expect after we have been in a rock for 1,000 years you would be running to everybody needs to stretch your legs then she gave a death stare at the guy wearing a sheet he shuffled his feet nervously and moved away a little  then she said anyway I am starving staying in a rock for 1,000 years would make you hungry to I nodded not knowing what to say then I saw my mum coming up the beach and then then I looked around and everyone had disappeared all that was left was a slightly crumpled silk hankichef. the great drain game

Hi today we did something very cool some people came and we learned about what happens when water and waste goes down our drain's here are three paragraphs that show what happened in the 3 activities

Activity 1 V.R and wetland talk
our first activity was Virtual reality where we learned about the affects of plastic in the sea's and oceans. We looked at a beach that was covered in plastic and and amazing ocean fulled with coral.

Next we did the wetland talk where we looked at animals that lived in wetlands and we did a really cool thing where there was a miniature wetland and drained dirty and polluted water and changed it into much cleaner water because the grass and other plants drained out the sediment which was fascinating.

Here are some facts we learned the wetlands stop floods and other thing's, they did some water samples in Scotland and found over half of them were polluted and the wet lands make polluted water into cleaner water.

Activity 2 location of the drains

Our next activity was we got a map of Owairaka and found all the drains we did it with lunisi and we were in a group of 8 we went all over the school and even into the car-park! Me and my friend found 25 drains but another group found 30. Some facts we learnt there are different types of drains there are round ones and rectangular ones and very long one and there are two different types of drains there are the ones that are connected to pipes and there are the ones that are for collecting storm water.

Our last activity was my favourite the was a diorama that showed where all of our water goes after we use it. At the top there was a drain, a toilet, taps and a rubbish bin we showed where we thought different objects which were detergent, nappies and rain water went and where we thought it was going.
Some facts I learnt was leaves shouldn't go into the drains and  you should never put nappies or wet wipes down the toilet and because in will get stuck and might blow up the pipe!

Athletics day

Hi this is my athletics day post. If I could show how I liked it out of ten I would give it a 6 out of ten because it was really hot and tiring but it was good because the activity's were fun. What was your favourite activity? Sweat dribbled down our foreheads as we passed around the fan to try and get cool but it just made us hotter. Running as fast as possible the girls sprinted into the distance before slowing down and then stopped then ran again.

Hi this is my rugby world cup graph that I have been working on for a while. Last lunch time everyone one went out and tried to get at least 90 people to say who they would think would win the rugby world cup ( the remaining countries are NZ, England, Wales and Sth Africa. ) My prediction was that NZ would get the most votes then Wales, then England and then South Africa, was right. NZ got 66 votes, Wales got 9 votes, England got 8 votes and Sth Africa got 7 votes. Who do you think will win the rugby world cup?

I found using Google Sheets to make my graph a little difficult because I couldn't find all the background colours etc. My top tip for anyone trying this is watch the video again and again and again.

Visit from Richie Patterson

Today we were very lucky to have a visit from Richie Patterson. Richie is a light heavy weight weight lifter who has been in the Olympics 3 times and the Commonwealth Games 4 times.
Richie grew up on a dairy farm in Manukau. He competed in his first competition at the age of 16 and he came 8th. Today Richie told us about all the times he had failed he talked about it because he wanted everyone to know that it's okay to fail and everyone has done it . Did you know that Richie makes amazing nacho's he calls them mega nacho's. Richie has won a gold medal at the Olympics!

Bang I hit My uncle straight on his back he turned around and hit me with a dried grass ball full of mud. I streaked ran to the nearest patch of green and grabbed another but he was to quick for me he had already thrown a grass ball and it was flying threw the air at me and I opened my dried lips and it went directly into my mouth. I tried to laugh as looked around at the glistening lake and the field we were playing in with the boomerang stuck comically straight up in the ground we laughed heartily and walked slowly down the concrete path covered head to toe in mud flowers and dried grass giggling uncontrollably.
With a spring in my step I walked onto the metal boat with coins jingling in my pockets smiling broadly. I sat down on the springy couch and dived into my bag in search for my bright blue book then my hands hit something hard and I knew that it was right. Flipping over the pages I found the intro and started reading joyfully ( even though I had read this book dozens of times. ) Smiling gleefully I went up to the counter and asked for a cheese toastie. Munching with enjoyment I flipped my book open again and started reading the a notice come over the loud hailer it said in a robotic voice "we are now reaching our destination of Waiheke enjoy your stay"

Hi, this is my Nancy Wake story which I have been working on for a while. It is not entirely true but she did run away from the Gestapo and was amazing. Have you done anything like this before?

Do you want to know about one of the Allies most treasured spy in world war two well I will tell you who she is.... her name is Nancy Wake.

“Quietly soaring I landed in a field the Gestapo started to surround me I had  no choice I ran” “I was very fast on my feet you see when I was younger” Nancy Wake sighed  “ now I am older I can’t run very fast any more.” “Grandma tell us another story about you please” begged the children “ okay I don’t need to tell you I can show you.”

“Help” thud “ouch” “where’s grandma I can’t see her hang on there she is running away from the Gestapo with a briefcase and she looks different much younger” “she has got away by dodging them in back streets yay go grandma” “I can’t wait to see the one with the plane and her running really fast now that would be cool seeing grandma run.”

“Yahoo go grandma that was awesome” hang on why can’t she see us she isn’t even looking at us she is running into a old school building exclaimed Lila “maybe going there to take refuge just in case”  you never know agreed Lulu

well now we just have to get backkkkkkkkkkkkk. Thud crack “ow that was even sorer than landing there” I think I cracked the coffee table by accident.

So now you know the story of Nancy Wake it is not entirely true.
