  3. Kia ora Matilda,

Welcome to the Summer Learning Journey. It is great to see that you have decided to join us and complete some activities. I hope you are enjoying your summer holidays and had a great Christmas with your whānau. I was lucky enough to get away with my son and spend some quality time with him and my immediate family. We spent a lot of time at the beach enjoying the beautiful sunshine. Have you been to the beach this summer?

What a great variety of foods you have decided to take on your sea voyage. You have made some smart decisions especially tinned food. I agree that tinned food would be a great choice as they can stay in a can for a very long time and you do not need to keep them in a fridge. This is why they are handy for long trips or emergency kits. I have put together an emergency kit to keep in my house and baked beans are included in that.

I really liked the colour you included in your post. This made your work stand out and obviously attracted other bloggers such as Jordyn and Alan. Can I make a suggestion, maybe next time you could make you writing a colour that stands out more against the background This would make it easier for my poor eyes to read. Keep up the awesome work, Matilda.

See you in the new year,
    Megan :)
